DIY filtration. Will this work

Get 2 HOB filters. A pair of Aquaclears 500 filled with filter floss will do the trick, and would be much cheaper than some of the other options in this thread. They provide excellent mech. filtration as someone already stated the reason for the cloudiness is that you don't have a good mech. filter. Using carbon will only improve your cloudiness.

if i ever have a filter problem... i go buy a small box filter for my tank that costs like 3 dollars!
