defeats the point of cheap DIY if you have to spend £13 on a bit of plastic

Feed the air line through an old CD, use the CD for a cover, keeps the salt spray down. I like to add one drop per liter chlorine bleach, helps the shells soften, giving a better hatch rate. BBS can be a source of unwanted bacteria, the bleach helps with that as well. The chlorine gasses of in 24 hours or less.

I have a buddy who swears by those hatchers, they're great for smaller quantities. For larger quantities go with the 2l bottle, gallon jar, or other larger container.

If you're worried about salt drain the BBS into a coffee filter rubber banded to a cup, rinse with fresh water.

I was only looking in the LFS this weekend at these make your own brine shrimp hatchery.

JBL seem to have lots of them> If i get the kids this then they might stop banging my tank shouting "NEMO NEMO" I havent even got any fish in their yet
