Dividing My 10 Gallon In Half...

I'm going to PetCo and getting a divider tomorrow, but I'm wondering how you guys have worked filters etc. with a divided 10 gallon... Should I bother with a filter? The 10 gallon came with one, but I'm pretty sure it will put off a strong current.

heya kara, if you have a air pump with 2 outlets just buy 2 small sponge filters and that shoulds be fine but the heater put it sa close as you can next to one side f the tank so it get equal heating.
