Well, besides making a hood for it (probably going to be made out of clear acrylic) The tank is complete, and despite some of the dividers not being QUITE straight, I'm happy with the tank, and it took me bloody ages to get right so I wont be re-doing it any time soon lol.

It is split into 4 1.33Gallon compartments, and So far 3 of my boys are in it with space for the Crowntail I am importing. It has 2 live plants in it and 2 fake plants at the moment and I have set up the filter so it creates a circulated current.

Anyway, What do you think?

Well, according to my (very dodgy) mathematics, it is just under 6 Gallons.

There are holes in the dividing acrylic pieces to let the water through, so the filter is on one side of the tank, but has a tube attached so it pumps the water out the other side. You can see the tube in the pictures.

More pictures will follow soon.

lookes like a big tank sectioned off with a undergravel filter? Nice :) i like it. I might just to that also!

Looking good Ben!

Nice betta pics in your sig too.

Can't wait to get my own divided tank all cycled and occupied, will post pics as soon as I have residents to show off!

Very nice setup Ben!! Did you use a "flash" on those tank shots? Why I ask is because it looks so natural.

Thanks for the comments guys :)

Here are pictures of the seperate compartments:

And here's a picture of My Betta Jar next to the tanks with my new Lyretail Comb in it....

That Lyretail is gorgeous.

Do you have a problem regulating the temperature in a container like that with no heater? Just asking as we both appear to live in this tropical British climate (ie; it's July and we're having flashfloods and gales!)

Temperature seems to be ok, but I was talking to a breeder who said he has tested young bettas in fluctuating temperatures between 10 and 30 degrees C and they cope fine.

Just for reference, Here is a picture of the tank before modification:

(not didnt come with filter, just tank & hood for £20).

Ben

No, it looks rubbish and has no light in it.

I am going to make the lid of clear acrylic As light can get through and it keeps the clean simple look.
