Well, finally sorted my betta solution.

They are both in the one tank with a divider in it. The divider is just pond/aquarium grade covering that i've cut to size. Using binders Keeps it rigid and flush against the edge of the tank.

My older betta patrick is flaring alot but my new younger one seems very comfrotable with it :)

Anyway, here's a couple of pics..

Hi bunjiweb :)

That looks good. I especially like the way it's high enough to keep the bettas from jumping across to the other side.

Couple more pics....

First is of Patricks glorious bubblenest! He must be very horny indeed. He seems to have perked up so much since I put him into the divided 5 gallon with my new betta. Given him the will to impress me :p.

Next up, this picture I think shows my new betta's colours best out of all the pictures I have taken :)

wow..you gonna be getting a female for patrick then bunji? my betta's never once built anything remotly like a bubble nest...although i did keep them in a tank with fast moving mollies and stuff...maybe it made them not wanna build one :p

I don't know.

Do you think 2.5G would be enough for a male and a female?

I also know nothing about betta breeding..

Ben

Whoooa Patrick's pro at building bubblenests :p

Nice looking setup, Patrick and his new buddy must be very happy in it. What is your new betta's name, btw?

I'm not sure!

Some of my fish are named after spongebob squarepants characters.

My black mozaic platy is called Spongebob,
My Red and blue betta is called Patrick
My Algae eating shrimp is called Gary

So I will have to call my new betta either Sandy, Squidwerd, Mr Krabs, Lou, Pearl Or Larry .

What do you reckon? :p

With his colors, Pearl is too obvious so I'd go with Larry
