i have a 180L tank. tank mates are mollies, platties, cory's, 2 opaline gouramis (male + female), 2 kissing gouramis. 6" albino common plec, 3" candy stripped plec. 2 young clown loaches.
water qualities are all as they should be.
the last week i have noticed a few of my fish have either been injured or some type of disease.
i have lost a male and female pair of dwarf gouramis and they have both had the same injury or disease in the same place as the cory in the picture.
haven't noticed any nipping or aggressive behavour from any fish.
as you can see in the picture there is a whitish build up, on the side of the cory, the 2 gouramis had this in the same place and eventually died, the 2 gouramis that died were eaten through the night so that all that was left was skin with no colour , and a large hole that went through the whole fish were the white build up was.
is this a disease or do i have a bully in my tank, if i have a bully who is the likely aggressor?

Injury and disease

I can see from their whiskers and the way that juli cory is resting that they are not happy. You have the wrong substrate for cory cats their whiskers look painfully stunted. As for the white patch it looks as though your stock has has an outbreak of velvet. Search google for "tropical fish velvet" and verify...

The best treatment if that is indeed the case would be esha exit.
