Hi there,

Recently rehomed a discus for my friend and wanted to see if anyone has any baby discus to give away or even sell?

I cant quite work out what type the discus is, as its a very light silver with red bits on its fins and body when its happy.

Else when I got him/her it was quite stressed and was a dark shade of grey.

Im new to the forum and new to fishkeeping, but under the watchful eye of my friend.

He wont give me any of his discus because he has dinner plate type discus and it wont fit in my 70l tank.

Happy to hear from anyone.

Cheers

Rik

You dont have any more room for any more discus, if you put anymore in that tank they would become stunted and ugly, and you would have constant bickering amonst them,

40 litres per fish is the general rule but normally people house a large breeding pair in about a 120-140 litre tank this gives them room to grow and raise their young, at most you could add 1 more discus to your tank but that would only be permitable if you had no other fish in their and even then its not ideal and would cause fighting and stunting to the fish.

hope this helps

No thats good info. I was dreading that anyways.

How can you tell if a discus is stunted?
