Some time ago I posted pictures of the stand I built for my 29 gallon tank that I was going to use for my breeding pair of discus. Well last night they finally got the move to there new tank.
Now I have to do a major cleaning on my 40 gallon tank and get it looking good again with live plants.
So here's a shot of the stand I made for the tank.

Grat job on the stand.
I was wondering why there was no gravel or sand bottom in your tank?

I had my discus in my planted tank with gravel for over 8 months.
I highly recommend not to use gravel with discus, or you might end up like me setting up a bare bottom tank for them. Discus are very messy fish. I gravel vac my tank twice a week and could not keep up. The plants started to look bad.
I like planted tanks so I sold 3 of my discus just keeping my breeding pair and placed them into a 29 bare bottom tank. This way it will be a lot easier to clean.
The discus must like there new home, they were in there 2 and a half days and have laid eggs last night.
I have done a mojor rework on the old tank last night which will now be a planted community tank.

Well the discus must like there new tank. It only took them 2 days to lay eggs.
