I was taking a picture of my snail, and the flash was on, and the fish were right in fornt of the camers (maybe 2 inches away).
Could i have blinded them?
My fish were acting a little strange.

what does little strange mean?

Well, they were swimming arund the tank really fast, and going up and down next to the glass.
I gave them food, and they werent eating some of it.
They usually swim up to the food right after i put it in, and eat almost all of it.

They seem ok now, though.

You probably didn't blind them. I think all that happened was initial stress. The flash/camera could have stressed them. They would calm down over time. If they are fine now...there shouldn't be anything to worry about ;)

Speaking of blindess, this may be a dumb question but I'm curious. THe guy at one of my lfs said that I can blind my fish by having a lamp/light over it. Is this true?

my cory and bala shark dont stop going around the tanka nd up and down on the glass i just figured they where hyper been doing that since i got them

;) No...unless it looks at it like 100% of the time...its like the sun ;) He was probably trying to sell you a light...with a special tube right :D . The only thing a lamp can do is heat the water up if the aquarium is small like a betta bowl. This can cause the temperature to rise signficiantly

oooh yeay! :kana: Ok great, thanks a bunch! :flex: Yeah I have a light over his bowl because its too small for a heater and it's getting pretty cold here... :X
