Greetings all. After a rather successful spawning spurt in late November, the month of December is starting off with a bang. In the last 3 days I have had spawns of C. nattereri, C. duplicareus, C. simulatus, C. similis, C. melini, S. prionotus and 2 of C. weitzmani. Each C. weitzmani spawn is getting progressively larger, with much more normal looking eggs. I now have 6 spawning groups of C. weitzmani and about 70 fry of various ages along with the latest 45 eggs. I have already sold groups of young adults from the first 2 spawns I ever had. Hard to believe I have had them that long. If I could just get the "new" Cory to spawn, I'd be a very happy camper. I think I'm about 3 lbs. of live black worms from success. I have 3 breeder groups set up. I have only had these fish for about 6 weeks, but they have grown rapidly. This fish is surely becoming my favorite Cory. They are mesmerizing to watch as they are like no other Cory I have ever kept. Who knows what the morning will bring. 8) - Frank P.S. The 2 lbs of live CA black worms are on the way!!!

Sounds good Frank. Those are some impressive spawns.

Ive got some C. weitzmani coming from Bryan next week. Im very excited about them :hyper:

Hi Coryologist :)

I'm glad to hear your corys are spawning like the dickens! I am also a great believer in feeding them lots of blackworms to get them conditioned and ready. :D

Which is the new cory? I missed it.

My cories are very active too. I will soon have a fry and a spawning tank going, finally.

I have a C. pulcher variant #3 that escaped her cory tank through the Python water change syphon into the tropical community tank. She is egging up and trying to dance with the pepper crew and the Botias. She is very confused. I almost caught her while she was semi dazed this morning to return to her people, but she slipped the net again. I would love to get her tribe in a spawning tank alone!!

This is it. I have a dozen going out to me, today. Their spawning tanks are all set-up and ready to go. I, along with my partner, now have 6 spawning groups. Sooner or later, one of us has got to see some eggs. - Frank

Just gorgeous! Falcone takes nice pics.

That is a spectacular fish for sure!

Brilliant news with all those spawnings :good: . I really hope your new cories breed for you too. They are just amazing and super stunning.
