Hi,
Just when everything seemed to be going fine! I've got a 6 month old 60L tank, oversized ext filter. Everyone seems happy (Danios, white clouds, platys, 1 sucking loach) but I noticed yesterday an injury to one of my Danios (see pic below - sorry about quality). It looks like a puncture wound of some sort. And now he seems to have another minor injury on the same side a few mm from it. They have just appeared very quickly. He is swimming a bit funny due to it but eating and doing other stuff fine. What has caused this?
What should I do? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Has he caught it on a sharp object.
I would add some melafix.

Cheers Wilder. Was worried it might be something like hole in the head disease but on the body.

I would feel all your ornaments for sharp edges.
Piece marks can also be parasites, is he flicking and rubbing against objects.

No rubbing or flicking. Have some rocks in there which might have some edges. Also have some very small platy fry - is it possible he was chasing them for dinner?

Yes more than likely chasing the fry.
Remove the ornaments and sand paper the sharp edges, then give them a rinse under the tap and add back to the tank.

Just an update - he is recovering well and it's healing nicely. Thanks for the help! :good:
