...my dalmation Myrtha is almost 5 and whilst I love her to bits she makes a whining noise almost constantly.

I also have a bearded collie cross who is has just turnrd 3 who makes very little noise.

Its not even like a normal dogs whine....it sounds like a boiling kettle and she can keep it up for hours!

Are they all this anoying or is my dalmation just annoying?

my gsds do it constantly too!I think its for attention..and they do it when you come in the door!they pick up something and run around in circles winging.they even sit there making realy faint wining noises too.its normal ive had loads of dogs and they all have done it.not so much the smaller ones the larger ones do though

I think its just because dalmations are such big puppies! The ones I've known just act like babies all the time, and all they want to do is play.

Its probably nothing to worry about, but you could invest in some earplugs!

she does do it for attention but she seems to want attention all the time, you'd think at the age of 6 she would have chilled out abit.

Other dogs dont tend to play with her because she just gets far too exited and barks like crazy (just in fun) and if we throw anything for them she is far too competitive and growls at the other dog who gets the stick everytime.

Its like having a teenager in the house!
