D I Y Canister Filter

I wondered about making one myself, how does yours look like at the moment?

Barely done right now. I keep having ridiculous setbacks. First the tubing I bought doesn't fit the pumps I have so i have to develop something else to fit them. THe plexi glass is too hard to cut evenly. I am thinking this will be a scrapped DIY project. The smaller one was easy, this bigger one is too difficult, sorry guys.

I did just make a DIY lizard cage though. I'll post pics of that.

i just made a DIY canister filter...unsealed... but if it were to be sealed it would work probably jsut as well, but i tried this using one set of tubing and simulating and timing ...
lol(saturday afternoon stuck babysitting what else do i do?)
so i need another set of tubing and a suitable container... and then
i can make a DIY mini canister filter, and the pump on the elite is rated at 38 gph so im making this Canister as probably a dedicated one for betta , so ill have to buy some extra tubing to assemble a spray bar.. and something to make a strainer, and ill need some extra silicon most likely,
i used part of hte instructiosn from Auroras so thanks lol ...
also , for those of you who have an elite stingray 5, perhaps this will get your heads ticking ; )(my stingray 5 is inadegquete in my 2 gallon IMO, mech wise, chemical well i removed the cartrige and put in filter floss, bio filtration seems to be great however..)
Dont mean to hi jack the thread, anywho good luck Aurora... cant you take a pic of the finsihed product if you have it done , as even that will get us excited ; P
anywho... i just rmembered about the powercord needing to go thru,
but how did you wire the powercord thru the lid?
Pics of the completed small one if you have them : P =D
