i have just started cycling my tank and im taking my water in for a test tommmorow it has been cycling for about two days.I need to know if you can see visibale changes or stages in the cycling proccess?

I'm not sure about that. However, I'd like to give you a hint so you can get more accurate readings. Do a water change and take the water in the bucket in for the test because the nitrates and nitrites sink to the bottom and the water on the top will give you innacurate readings.

Also, take your tap water in if you haven't. The store will give you a pH raeding, DH reading, and perhaps heavy metals and chloramine readings.

Yes you will see visable changes in the water parameters (not in the water itself). Two days is probably not long enough though.

Are you cycling with or without fish?

That's sounds like you should take a bucket of water to be tested.

I always feed a new tank with a little bit of food. I also wait 6 weeks minimum before adding fish. If I have filter pads or something from an established tank I can throw into the watter current I wait 2 weeks.
I never make more than one fish purchace in the same month.

It took me about a month to cycle a 10 G but made the mistake of overstocking it, but i recently bought a 33 G tank and used 6 BF tetras to cycle it and some wooden decoration on the old tank and it took me one week to drop everything to 0 except for nitrIte 0.1 and it should be done soon. I guess the bigger the tank and less fish you use it the shorter the cycle is. I might be wrong, but that's my little theory :D
