I recently went through exactly the process you have described and was ready to chuck the whole thing out the window. It took 9 weeks for mine to fully cycle. You do have to be so patient. Good luck!

Oh my, she (we think it's a she) is absolutely adorable! And so evil at the same time. How she is eyeing up the snails, probably thinking "I'm going to eat you, yes I am" and then boooom, she goes for the kill. Best fish ever
