I have thought long and hard about either doing fishless cycle and fish cycle, and ive tried the sprinkling food into aquarium and it just didnt work, ammonia was at zero after a week and all it seemed to do was cloud the water, so im gonna do cycling with fish, I have a 29 Gallon SeaClear Aquarium, and I am wondering how many Tiger Barbs I should put in there to cycle it, so please let me know thanks!

To do a fishless cycle, you add bottled ammonia to the tank, not food. ;)

Although tigers are fairly hardy, they might not last the cycling period and even if they do, they could have serious problems by the end. Many fish used for cycling live shorter lives because of the damaging effect ammonia has on the fishs' gills.

One of my leopard danios looks really fat but if you know wat i mean it does not look like fat. Is she ready to spawn or something

some help plz

i think u posted in the wrong topic blade 118....if u do cycle with fish(i dont advise it though) u could maybe get a few danios or wcmn...mine have lived through a lot and are still going strong.....do you have anyother tanks that are cycled and have fish in them. if so you could put the filter media from one of those tanks into the new one and a few fish to keep the bacteria alive and within a few hrs to a few days you have a cycled tank then you can slowly add the fish you want
