That's basically what I had to do with my cories early on, eventually they figured out when feeding time was. I still fed the rest of my fish at about 4:00pm. But I dropped the sinking pellets in after lights out at 10. Eventually, the cories started to come out for the food when I used frozen bloodworms after water changes, and then they came out when I come over for the day time feeding. Now they are all about it at that time. Ultimately, they will figure it out. It just takes a little time.
