My two new boys have rather weird looking curls at the ends of their dorsal fins. I had heard once that this is indicitive of poor water quality? If so what can be done to fix it...cause I got them from a shipment that just came from a breeder and the cups were FILTHY. I dont want them to develop fin rot...so what do I do?

Making sure they're in clean water is really all you need to do for them :)

Their fins may or may not straighten out with time... it could even be due to genetics rather than water quality, who knows.

Oh, ok. Phew. I was stressing a bit...dont want my precious new beebies to die. Thanks for the help.

No problem
A few of my boys have curly fins but it has never led to finrot, so I think your fish will be A-ok as long as you're looking after them :)

I heard high ammounts of ammonia can cause fins to go curly and split amoungst other things which may have happened when they still were in their cups when you got them, wether this is permanent i don't know as i've never had fish with it but it will probably heal at least to a certain degree with some TLC and good water quality and diet
