Okay well I was away for three days and when I came back the temperature on the curing bin for LR was 68* F... I put another heater in there and it's 72 now but I need to know if the drop will cause any major problems.. other than delaying the cycle a little? Ammonia had been about 1ppm all of last week and nitrites were zero. Now ammonia is .25 and nitrites are off the chart. I'll be doing a water change tomorrow.

Prolly just delay the cycle a bit. Before you do a water change, make sure you give the rocks a good shake to get any decaying matter off them :)

Just curious how are you curing your LR? I want to buy some more to top up my reef tank but can only get hold of uncured and I know this would kill my livestock if added directly to my main tank due to a spike in ammonia etc. So what is the best way to cure it? Thanks

Get the biggest container you can find and put the live rock in there with a WORKING heater (lol) and as much flow as you can. Water changes vary... some people say everday, some people say never. I just do a wc whenever one of the params gets overly high. Oh yeah a light is needed as well. You start off with only a few hours then the next day do one hour longer until you get up to the normal tank photoperiod. It's ready to go in when ammonia and nitrites are zero, I think.
