my tank is clear but not like ones in the pet shop why can anyone give any advice please ?

Is your grass as green as that on football pitches?
As long as your water is clear and your stats ok there is no problem :good:

The other thing I found is no matter how good your filters, its sometimes depends on how many fish you have, ie too many, alot of waste, or overfeeding.
You can get treatments for your tank to help clear the water,

Is your filter working properly?

Carbon pellets added to the filter (or a sponge of carbon) will polish the water up, but as siad, if the water is bitty filter floss will help alot.
Also, what's your feeding regime? How often do you do tank maintenance? These things can contribute to water sparkliness :D

filter fine i got 2 rena xp3 and aqua pro 3 feed in morning afternoon and night 6 ft x 2ft x 2ft tank 50 malawis 2 pleco 2 syno decorus 30% water change weekly 8 months setup

Hi kysapphire :)

Are you sure it's the water? Sometimes the glass will get a slight film on the inside of it that needs to be wiped away. :)

thanks i love it i just bought my next tank 5ft cant wait to set it up.
i will give it a clean need to buy a magnet or something

what do you mean by not clear. dose it have bits in it or is it a funny colour? if its a funny colour do you have and wood in there?

its just not crystal its kinda like i dont know cloudy but clear i can see through from left to right and its 6ft long

Ideally, as already said.
Filterwool, it will trap any tiny particles floating around and it rather cheap if you buy it in bulk.
