Crystal Clear Water ?

I know what you mean about the water being not as clear as it might be. Usually you wouldn't notice such a thing, until you can compare it to water that has been "polished". I'd go with filter floss also.

Another factor that can affect it, is the glass used to build the aquarium in the first place. Both thickness and glass type.

Take a close look at the glass I mean a close look like face right up to it. Do you see millions of things on the glass that are waving back and fourth and look like there alive. I had this problem with my 75 I would wipe the glass and it would be back in minutes. Got some filter wool and it took care of it. I have the same problem with my 150 gallon right now but I'm also under filtered but soon that won't be an issue anymore.

i had this problam.. water is not clean enough.

use wool. lots of it.

thanks for all your help i will get some filter floss and will give that a try :good:

thanks i love it i just bought my next tank 5ft cant wait to set it up.
i will give it a clean need to buy a magnet or something

Your maint schedule looks good as well as your filtration. I use a Rena XP4 & XP3 on my 48" and my water is crystal clear. I also have a UV in my chiller which may help as well.
Be careful with the magnet cleaners, you may scratch your glass. I use a Algae glove , its like a mitton. Try adding some filter floss as recommended above to your filters first to see if that helps, I have carbon in my XP3 almost always and replace it 1x month. All my filter material is Rena Filter material I get through a rena retailer.

The only way to get GIN clear water is to use a Diatomic filter.
