i bought myself a new betta yesterday, a easter present for myself :)

i'm wondering how much they normally cost, as i think a got a complete bargin, mine was £2.70, somehow they misread the £5.99 price tag and then i had my store discount(i'm not an employee, just get discount from being a regular).

they don't charge any different prices for each type of betta just the female they all have are normally cheaper about £3 each.

in all my lfs i have to say betta's are well treated, they are all in 2ft or more tanks that are filtered, heated, lit etc. he's in perfect condition no marks or any, no disease. i've only kept VT betta's before and as they all cost the same near me i thought there is a difference normally.....

i saw this crowntail which they never have in my lfs, this is the first one i've seen for about a year and they only have about 3 betta's in each lfs altogether.

he's metalic dark blue with mostly dark metalic red fins but with some of the blue. he's around 2inches i'd say.

i just want other people to give me rough prices on crowntail they've seen or bought.

cheers in advance :good:

cheers :) mine is really good quality i don't think they knew what sort of betta it was.

betta love did you look at any clown loaches???

anyone else got any prices? :)

the crowntails at the petco in my area are probably around 5 dollars. i don't recall actually looking at the price (i had just got my tax refund and could afford it -lol-) but i do remember noticing that it was a higher price than for the VTs when i was at the register.

I have only seen CT at one pet store here, and the two that I saw were $7.99 I think and their VTs were $4.99. And the bad part, this fish store SUCKS!!! They have dead fish in every single one of their tanks. I would NEVER buy any from there.

they go for about $6-7 round here for the "rejects". by what i mean as rejects is what the stores get from breeders that aren't "breeding quality". who decides if they're good quality anyways? what one persona may see as good another might not and vise-versa.

At the petsmart near where I live, its 5.99$ for a Crowntail and 2.99$ for a VT, but I've only ever seen them have one CT in stock.

Hi,
my friend bought a small crowntail for £4.50 at a lfs. but i think it comes down to how good the fish looks and how healthy it is
