Cross Breeding Danios

Hi all,

just wondered, will danios breed, no matter what type? i.e. would a zebra mate with a leopard etc?

I have 6, 2 zebras, 2 leopards and 2 golden, they all shoal happily together.

you have all the same fish.
leopards and goldens are just a colour morph of the Zebra.
to answer your question
yes all fish from the taxa danio will inter breed, given the lack of their own kind, all devario will interbreed, given the lack of their own.
you won't be able to cross a [danio[/i] with a devario though.
