i'm not sure where to put this thread

with prices are increasing by the minute, how are you managing your money? are there anything luxury you have cut out from your life?

so far we've been growing our own some vegetables, my other half have been biking to work 2-3 a week and we've been making lots of homemade meals instead of going out.
how it is going so far? we've spend quite a few money on pots and compost etc.. and so far we've had about 20 strawberries ( which we have to fight with the birds for), the tomatoes plant is growing but no fruit yet and half of our lettuces have been eatten by slugs. and we still waiting for the potatoes, corns, and peppers to grow. biking to work helps with the training and i must say that some of our own meals are tastier than the restaurant ones. :)

tell us what you have been doing?

somthing i heard on the radio... credit crunch? i throught it was a new breakfast cereal.....

Tbh i havnt really noticed it!! if anything i've been spending more

Although saying that i walk to work everyday, my car has been off the road since the start of the year so havnt been paying silly money for that and my OH has just got a better paid job. Seems to have worked out quite nicely!

I'm still not believing the price of fuel but glad I sold our two powerful cars last autumn to save petrol. it would have been a killer now

apart from that bills are rising but seem to have been doing for a while and my wage hasn't dropped so a bit less cash I suppose

I try to grow my own fruit and veges, small fruit plants not orchard type trees. I only use the car when I have to. If I can walk or cycle then I do that instead of driving. I don't have a credit card and only buy what I need when I need it.
