Hi Everyone
I wanted to update you on how the tiny cream colored girl I rescued is doing. So far she has been getting worse. Still no signs of physical illness other than the red dot that appeared on her lip and clamped fins. She has not eaten in the 4 days I have had her.
I thought she was going to die last night but she managed to survive the night!! She is now having a harder time swimming. If there is movement in the water (during gentle water changes) her body moves with the current. She is a fighter tho and is really hanging on. She no longer can float on top of her jar so I lowered the water depth so she can get to the top easier for air.
I have been treating with antibiotics (maracyn and maracyn 2) and aquarium salt and I think that may be the only reason she is still alive.
My daughter, 4, named her Cinderella because of her mean tank mates.
Wish us luck, I am hoping she will pull through. I am keeping her warm and wrapped a towel around her jar to keep it darker for her.
