corys

i have my corys in with gravel, but i am changing over to sand tonight because i think it looks nicer & the corys & the clown loaches will love it oh yeah also because i still don't like how my tank looks at the moment lol

I've got mine with rounded gravel, like peas. Only trouble I had was in the hot weather in June, when one of my corys died probably from bacterial infection. Since then I've vacuumed the gravel twice weekly and they seem to be doing fine. Not sure I would risk sharp gravel though, they do rub against it so much. Anyway, it's important to keep it clean whatever you have.
Also, if you do go for it, take 3 corys rather than 2; they do love schooling! Two males to a female, if you're going to want to breed, these are not aggressive macho fish. But very endearing. I've just been watching mine coming into spawning mood (at least I hope so), and it's great, looks like they're tickling her and she's giggling, nice to see animals enjoy their sex life.
