Fishaholic
This morning I was watching my Corys doing their dance amongst some plants (they acted like snakes; coiling around each other). At the same time the zebra danios were going nuts around them nipping at the plants, which I thought was odd. So on closer inspection I saw some eggs! I quickly ripped out the plant and dumped it into my 10 gal. fry tank and was contemplating having a fish fry with the danios.
Cooler heads prevailed and I forgot about that train of thought when I saw the Corys going at it again. I then quickly transfered them to the 10 gal. as well (talk about coitus interruptus). The males were still bugging her but she wasn't responding so I thought that was that and went to eat breakfast (not the danios). When I got back I noticed eggs on the glass! That was around 10:30 AM. It's now 5:30 PM and they are still at it. I've been watching and photographing them all this time. What a rush.
I'm going to leave them in there for the night before transferring back into the 60 gal. The fry in the tank must have been in shock to see their parents delivering their younger siblings, in fact a couple of times they got into the middle of the fracas. Most of them are stying out of sight.
Here are a couple of pictures (I hope the links work):

The last one is the most awesome.
If anyone can identify the corys I would appreciate it as the lfs I bought them from mis-identified them as elegans.
Of course this happens 3 days before I leave on a weeks vacation. Do you think they'd let me take the 10 gal. with me to Mexico on the plane?
My wife is killing herself laughing at my concern for the corys considering my laise faire (spelling?) attitude when our kids were young.
Sorry for this rambling post but I guess you can tell that I'm excited.
Cheers.
Update:
I just moved the parents to the 60 gal.; the female looked like she was nibbling on the eggs. Better safe than sorry.
