Research, research, research, it's the only way, unfortunately.

Try putting mosquito rasboras and pygmy cats in your little tank. Return the clown loaches and tiger barbs thou. I have these to together they are just great.

a clown plec would be alright?
they only grow to 3' or would this tank still be too small?

Dwarf gouramis should be fine at 2', mine are like 1.5' and haven't grown for nearly a year haha

I have 5, 5 banded barbs which are beautiful and 5 cherry barbs and i keep them with my peppered and agassizii corys and they get on fine!

Hope everything works out :)

Bearing in mind that you were asking for advice on 23 April and seemed to have added fish by 3 May, i dont think you have cycled your tank properly. Although things will look OK to begin with, if you're not careful things will rapidly go wrong. Read up about in the cycling section. As you already have fish, then you are into a 'fish-in cycle' which is not good news for the fish. You must check your water every day and be prepared to do very frequent water changes to keep thing stable until the filter has cycled. What sort of filter does your tank have?
