Cory catfish are basically gentle and great community fish. I have had many types and they breed EASY. With that said, most people, especially the big Shrimp breeders, say nothing should be with shrimp. They will all suck in/eat baby shrimp. But for those of us that enjoy a wide variety of community fish, we tend to mix and match the best we can. There are MANY breeds of Cory catfish. With shrimp, the best breeds would be the dwarf or pygmy cory's. I know of 3 types. I ordered the Salt and pepper pygmy's. After the order was shipped, (I received the today) the seller contacted me and the are NOT salt n peppers. These are the peppered type that get large and bulky at 3 inches long. I am NOT happy and will try to get my money back. Strive for the smallest variety you can find. Better chance for baby shrimp survival. Good luck!
Sorry to hear about your order mixup. Thanks for the advice. I'll try to figure out what I have now. The card at Petco said they get up to 2 inches. Since I'm not hugely interested in breeding oodles of shrimp, perhaps the corys might act as a population control?!?

They can keep population down for sure.

Albino cories can be one of several species. Most are probably Corydoras aeneus, and there are also albino C.paleatus, C. sterbai, C. pands, and likely even more. "Albino" is a form of the species, not a distinct species. Most get roughly the same size, around 2 inches (C. panda often remain smaller, but they can attain this size naturally). None are problematic with respect to behaviour, temperament, etc.
