hi

Many albino cory are always laying eggs but there are never any new babies. I think its because i have an angel in the tanks and the other fish also must eat them.

How long does it take for them to hatch?

any idea how i can hatch some??

The eggs should hatch within 3-5 days. Unfortunately, fish devour them and unless the eggs were lain in dense plant matter, they probably won't survive. If they do make it past the hatching stage, they are extremely vulnerable as they initially have to go up to the surface for air. If you want to hatch them, you can collect the eggs(wait a few hours to let them harden up first, then use a siphon hose to extract them). Put them in a separate tank but they will need to have a current to go over them to prevent fungus. After they hatch, they need to be fed micro food. Survival rates will be low but you will have increased their chances by doing this rather than waiting to see if any make it in your community tank. I saw some Youtube videos that give you a play by play of how to do it, so it may be beneficial for you to check it out.

Good luck!

Ya' think??? :)

3 to 6 days, generally - depending on the entirety of your water parameters

You're going to either have to pull the eggs and hatch them in a separate container, or leave the eggs and pull the other tank inhabitants. A couple may survive, without doing either, but only if you are very lucky. - Frank

I used to hatch Bronze Cory eggs in the lid of one of the CD spindle things; you know the things that you buy loads of empty cd's in?

You can then put that in the tank and put an airstone in and hey presto you have a hatchery!!!

I have hatched them in margarine tubs floating on the top of the tank, once hatched move to a small shallow tank.
Remove them from the tank with your fingers they are tuffer than they look.
