Those are tiny eggs!

From which Cory's did you get them?

I really aiint got a clue lol, either one of the bronze corys, or one of the peppered corys..

There bigger than they look on the pic lol

hi wayne

turn the amozon sword leafs the other way round mate so the eggs are faceing down if there only on one side
that way the air from the air stone wont push the leaves out the water and dry them out.
can you see any black dots forming in them yet

There is eggs on both side m8, so i put the side with the most eggs on face down, only a couple seem to have black dots up to now but i dont know how old they are to be honest :)

top ones should be ok
i supose you could always weigh the leaf down slightly if it does happen to come out the water
with a small peice of graval on the leaf were theres no eggs
the eggs will be from the bronze wayne as the peppers i give you are to young to spawn yet
good luck with them wayne let us know if any hatch :good:

Congrats! 5teady

Nice set up. I may try something like that soon. Very ingenious. How did you attach the pin to the tank?

C. aeneus eggs are stickier. Pepper eggs will float away when you detach them from where she stuck them. When I harvest pepper eggs I always have to have something under them to catch them because they mostly won't stick to my fingers if I don't have a good hold or from the blade if I scrape them off.

And the longipinnus eggs are even worse. If I look at them wrong they detach and float away. LOL But I got a good group this time using a container under.

My long fin albino peppers are laying so many eggs that they cover the bottom of the tank floating around. They can't eat them fast enough, and I don't have time and place to raise them all.

sue

They do look more like aeneus eggs.

Hi :)

What i did is put a small hole in the tub then pushed a airtub connector through it, then i got a suction thing off my breeding net (it has a small hole in it) and pushed the connector in to it and it fits well and is well held in..

Just hope some hatch now lol.

Thanks for the info :)

LOL I thought it was the Yanks that were ingenious! You must move to the colonys. We would welcome you. LOL
That will work. And I have extra suction cups and air thingies laying around!

BTW Pepper eggs are also layed more individually in groups while the aeneus are in bunches on top of one another. Both lay in clutches though, while a fish like a panda lays each egg individually with great care. More unasked for info. LOL

Congratulations and good luck with them.

The list of fish that you have bred seems to be growing by the day  Good job.

Little update, out of about 30 eggs, about 20 of them seem to have gone a slight grey colour and have a blacklike dot in them, the other 10 have stayed white...

The darker ones are fertile, the little black dot is either the fry or the fry's eye. If the white ones dont change colour soon then they are infertile.

Good luck :good:
