Well I have to say I find it disappointing that although the new strain was found pretty late in the year and people knew full well about the responsibility of reducing the rate of the new dangerous variant its still managed to spread to every state in the USA.

The news today was May be a third wave after June.

The UK strain is apparently highly contagious and is bouncing around Queensland, Australia. We also have the New Guinea strain and African strain here now.

We haven't been vaccinated yet either. The stupid federal government reckons we would all be done by October this year. Now they are saying we should all have had our first dose by October. They are meant to be doing 1 million people per week and are not even coming close to half of that. According to the doctors here, they haven't even been contacted by the health department about it and have no idea when it will be available.
It could be next year before I get my first dose.

Yes, but I could not guarantee you would have. I have been on a waiting list forever, their questionnaire only has two qualifiers and I do not meet either, even though I am high risk. My inquiries have been met with "you'll get your turn".

I don't understand Washington State requirements. From Washington Dept of Health, People 16 years or older with 2 or more co-morbidities or underlying conditions. So I could die from my 1 condition is not enough? I could die 2 times, give me the shot.

Why is Washington so far behind, my son age 27 with no conditions is getting the shot next week (New York) . Our grad student from Serbia claimed he was obese, he got his second shot last week.

Well it appears the Australian prime minister (PM) got his second vaccination the other day so he is fully protected, but nobody else is being done.

They were going to use the Astra Zeneca vaccine but have stopped because it apparently causes blood clots. We have had 2 people in WA develop blood clots from that vaccine and only a small number of people have actually been vaccinated here.

The doctors here still have no idea what is going on and are getting their information from the news on TV.

The PM is no longer saying when we will be vaccinated and there are rumours it will be next year sometime before we get our first dose.

Most older people I know say they have been vaccinated, but it’s done weird things to their body.

I don’t think even they know if it works yet.

Human testing is literally the only way to know for sure.

Last night on the virus update, Australian adults might have had their second vaccination by the end of 2022. However, they haven't included children in that and it will be longer for them to be done.
