just seen a corner air driven tank filter. you can add any media inside it so it can be cycled instantly with mature media. has anyone used or got one? its really cheap and was thinking of using 1 in my 70L fry tank....
would it work ok?

Hi
Depends on the size of the filter box.
These are fine, just add some gravel to the box to weight it down, add your mature media then top off with some fine filter floss.
Run off a pump.
I would use 2 one each corner for 70litres.

I have them running in most of my tanks. I generally double up, using a sponge filter with a lower flow for bio filtration, and a box filter with a higher flow for mechanical filtration. You can use any media in a box filter that will fit, I generally use floss, but on occasion run peat. Give them enough air & they filter as well as a hob filter.
