my water params are:

ammonia - 0
nitrite - 5+
nitrate - 120+
sg - 1.024
ph - 8.2

also does anybody know the survival chances of this little fella as i will be buying some salifert "all in one" see if i can give this guy a chance.

cheers andy

Very hardy mushroom - is it a lovely bright red one?

What is the salifert all in one?

Start to bring your sg up a bit as well, needs to be at least 1.025

ps be aware that as you have added extra live rock you may get a mini cycle - keep on top of water changes

salifert all in one is a bottled liquid that contains calcium, strontium and magnesium as well as somethng that promotes the growth of certain coral foods in the aquarium its good stuff. and also i will be adding some more salt soon to buffer the SG a bit and the coral its sorta like reddy pink with dotts on it. the tank has been running for about 2 weeks now so i will be doing water changes every few days to try and bring the nitrates down as well but i might add some tetra nitrate minus as well.

Whoa - remember the old saying - do not add anything unless you are testing for it! it is the quickest way to muck up your tank. There is no reason why a good water change, of 25% weekly should not keep the tank as it is now in tip top shape, certainly as you have little stock at the moment

The mushroom might be a Superman :good:
