its been like 30 min and he can now balance himself instead of lating on his side and hes moving a tad more.....if he makes it through this he will be the all time strongest fish i have ever acounterd props to you convicts

.... 20 min later lifting his front of his body in the air pushed against the glass looking good :D

so its 11 30 and it happened at prob around 12 hes in the tank looks normal but he wont swim lol it looks like hes to scared to....

its the next day hes finally not laying on the ground but i think hes to traumatized to swim
 
Poor little thing he might be ok. Are you treating him with anything?????Like stress coat (he probably lost most of his slime coat)?

no im not going to hes a trooper though hahah hes acting like nothing happened today so hes showing no signs of stress so im not going to treat with that coating meds cause i dont fell like putting meds in a community tank
 
convicts wont eat floating cichlids pellets will they :*) i bought some today thinkin they were sinking ones and he wont eat them ahhh what a waste of money what are some good brands of sinking pellets that he should like...how long will it take my convict to get to full size i measured it and its 2 and a half inches
 
convicts can take floatin pellets, if fed on only one type of food fish can some times not recognize a different type as food, sounds harsh but persist with it and he'll learn...

...if not dont wait to long
