Converting Tropical To Fish Only (Fowlr)

My plan is to have much more soon, I plan to get about another 3-4 kg thursday next week (again cured stuff). Heres my results today, however my tank is turning cloudy, this is good right? it means a bacteria boom and that means my biological filter is getting going right?

is that nitrate 2 or 20? are you adding any more rock because if you do then it will cause a small cycle again.

it is 2 not 20, i have no plans to add any more live rock, if was to add anymore, it would be in very small quantities at a time to minimise any cycling issues.

looks like you have finished cycling :hyper: time for cuc :good:
e.g
snails
hermit crabs

lmao for a minute I actually thought they were real corals then realised no corals have such bright neon colours . TBH I dont think that suits a FOWLR tank if I were you I would have a fowlr with rock or slate scape looks much better with lots of caves than plastic corals. :good: :good:

Hi,
I did go out and get some cuc, so this is what i have now:

6 blue hermit crabs
4 cerith snails
2 unknown crabs as they had hitch hiked with the live rock.

Pics to follow, just giving them some time to get used to the tank :)

Previously I had ordered some close up lenses (1x, 2x, 4x, 10x) for my Nikon D60 SLR camera, they arrived today, heres my test pics, I cant wait to try it out in daylight. I found that they work better on the 18-55mm nikon VR lens than the Nikon 55mm to 200mm VR lens where I found it impossible to focus with a decent amount of sharpness in the picture.

Saw this on the rock, what is it?

Saw this coming out of a spare crab shell - is it a worm?

I also added copepods etc (250ml) on the 07/10/2010

Interesting photos - I will try and find the thread for macro etc shots for you to add too, that would be cool :good:

Looks like you have a filter feeder of some sort there and a bristle worm coming out of the shell
