I got myself a baby tiger oscar on saturday and noticed yesterday that his bum was slightly swollen and there was a bit of poo sticking out. I'm took this to be constipation and bought some frozen peas(garden peas)for him this morning.
Was just wondering if I'm right about the constipation and the peas???

Have thawed the peas but he's refusing to eat them.

try warming them and taking off the outer shell. if the oscar hasnt eaten them before then it may take time for it to realise its food..

He catches them then spits it out again. I'll try heating them up.

only heat enough to make then a bit softer and so the shell can be taken off easier. dont give it to the fish steaming hot

He still aint eating the peas and his bum still looks swollen! Is there any chance this will pass or can I get him meds, can he die of constipation?

I cook my peas then de-shell them. You cod also try some cucumber or corgette as i believe thos also helps with constapation as this is what i feed my fish on their starvation day though granted, i dont have an oscar.
Im sure their areeds out there but id try natural things first.
Hope you manage to sort this!!
