Yes I did mention “potential” diagnoses but I understand what you mean.

I must politely say, I didn't say that she has bloat. I was just saying to you that this could happen. I understand that she is fine now but I was just saying to you what to do in case that ever happened. I wasn't saying she had bloat, I was trying to help you out and make sure that your betta didn't get sick. I would never wish upon a fish to die.
Understood and I appreciate that, I only worry a beginner might not know the difference so just be wary but your outreach is appreciated.

I mentioned the bloat thing because it’s been brought up a lot, not just by you. I appreciated everyone’s concern about bloat but the fish was full of eggs and I was inquiring about what I thought were eggs, I’ve just never seen that before.

I come from a place where fish should rarely need medication, as long as diet and water is perfect! So I’m a bit sensitive as I take the replies about bloating and dropsy as a pass on my husbandry skills : /

But I realize this is the internet and how would you know I’ve had the same fish for 10 years! Not the betta of course, she’s a new rescue I took in and is clearly thriving. Sorry if it came off rude.

It's not a problem :). You are right I am a beginner and I am still learning.
