God i feel so old skool now, i've fixed my main comp and the problem was the CPU so I'm now onto a wacking kick ass 2400 xp chip ;)

These days it's all about RAM, and 578 isn't much to be running Vista. I'd give it a 3 or 4 based on that alone, but bump the RAM up to 1 GB and I'd call it a 6.

Video cards are important as well, that is if you plan on doing a lot of gaming. Do you know what graphics card is in your machine?

Heres the specs of my Main rig. I built it before the DX10 and Core2Duo chips where out so was the very best you could get at the time. I was planning on upgrading it but seeing as I have yet to finds anything it cant run perfectly I'm spending the money on a Marine Tank instead :)

Yeah and video editing. That being said I dont think I have played a game on it for more then 10 minutes in the last 6 months.
 
Its a Samsung. Cant remeber the model, it has a 9 in it somewhere :) It is a really good monitor though, very crisp picture and perfect colour reproduction. 4ms response time as well so for games there is zero ghosting.
