Community Tank Under 4 Inches

Kuhlii loaches need atleast 15 US gallons buddy.

i kept a couple of crossbanded loaches [when babies] in my 10 Gal, maybe you would be better off with simpler versions?

Giant apple snails are good for these tanks!

Paul.

Thanks what do apple snails look like as some snails would eat my plants? :)

this link should help...

Apple snails

How about a couple of shrimps, or other snails? There are plenty of small animals you could fit in that tank, but no more than a few. Cory's are fun, but I've always thought they look sad in small tanks as they like to use a lot of room usually.

Thanks Paul this website is great.

What shrimps would be best I like ghost shrimps.

But if I kept a few corys like 3 then they would be happy and in my tank there is bogwood at the back so there is sand in the middle and then they would have alot of swimming space?

:)

How come people say its 1 litre to an inch and some people say 1 gallon to an inch? Personally I use the 1 inch to a litre and heavily filtrate tanks (104 on a fluval 500 tank) regular water changes and my fish are fine!!! Clean water is the key!!! See aking what you wanted in the tank, approximately 19 inches of fish, the tank is 40L so I would think its totally acceptable to have the choices you made. As long as your filter is man enough and you do regular water changes.

Hi, thanks now I can get the fish I wanted but tell me lisa what fish do you have and how big is your tank so I might be able to get an idea of more fish that I could have.

:good:

i think using 1cm to a litre would be better, roughly 2.5 cm to an inch and it's 1inch per U.S gallon. if you want tetra's i would go with 1 shoal of some sort but not neons as they are senstive so i would go with a shoal of 5 glow lights or similar and a few shrimp.

:good:

5 Guppies, 5 small tetras and 3 Corydoras would be a nice stock.

Tetras are small and dont produce much waste.

I have a new tank - a Fluval - and in the blurb on the info sheet it said:

For tropical fish remember 1cm of fish for every 2 litres.

So, for my tank at 63litres thats about 30cm of fish. Which is 10 fish of 3cm (for small fish).

I'm going for 4 glowlights and 4 purple emperor tetras and a few little shrimps to give bottom interest.

With the shrimps get some corys as they are small and clean up the bottom

and do you think its a good chance for a shrimp to still be healthy if i orded the shrimp??

do theese little dwarf chained loaches like cucumber or it is a dwarf sucker loach?
