How long does it take for a Common pleco to reach its adult size, in a suitable tank size with regular water changes and fed well?

If all of the conditions are right then they can grow anything between 1/4 and 1/2 an inch per month

Well mines 10 inch 1 year and 3 months old, had him from 2 inches.
Is he doing alright?

I would say so, you must be feeding him well :)

:D He will be getting an upgrade soon aswell.
I like the idea of having a 24inch plec Lol.
He loves his veg.
Broccoli is a favorite of his.

Big plecos are the best. Glad he is getting an upgrade. Bet he will love it. I do not have a common anymore, but my current plecos love courgette and sweetcorn, but will mot touch brocolli for some reason.

Lol my common wont touch cucumber, he is getting very territorial though, and hes making less waste as he ages, is it normal?

Wow if he is going into the 900g then that is some upgrade! he will be happy for life. You going to get him a friend?

I reckon he just wants more space. Strange how he is making less waste though...

Lol the 900 will be sometime from now but he will be the first one in their.
He will be getting a much bigger tank soon, he still eats the same, he isn't bloated, just leaves less waste than he use to.
I thought common plecs don't tolerate their own type?
How do you sex them?

I was talking to a guy in my local MA about this and apparantly they are extreamly hard to sex before full maturity. They have two in their 5000l display tank and they get on fine so in the 900g you should be fine with two.

Thats 4ft worth of plecos! Lol
How good is their eyesight?
