Common Pleco? What Do You Think.....

Here are some pics of my pleco. Im thinking hes a common but somethings making me think hes not quite a usual common, although I'm no expert lol..
What do you lot think???

Ok there he is, I'm presuming he's a he, as he has a very spiny body but if anyone has any thoughts on that, please let me know!

I'll try later when I see him, but he doesnt do it much so it will be a tough task lol...
I was hoping i'd get a fully flared photo to count the dorsal points but had no luck so far!

Yup a common, strange colour and markings though, looks a bit like a sailfin with it.
