I am still worinig out the tannis. The water is still turning very dark. It looks like I am going to be a while soaking.

Are you boiling them?

I have boiled them 4 times for about an hour each time. Then soaked them in hot water over and over. I am still getting very dark tea color.

They should be fine now... try soaking them in cooler water, you may find that they no longer leech...
