Coca Cola in the tank..... whats it going to do?

So I was carriing one of them new frige mate coca cola things down the stars and well it ripped and 4 cars came out, only one opened after it hit the tile stairs and cause of where my tank is when the can bounced it landed right on the canopyand drained the can befor I could get to it, from the little amount on the floor and wall I would say that at least 2/3 of the can went into the tank.


I did a 40% water change and put charcoal in the filter, but my marble hachets Ithink are not liking the change.
they are swimming right into the water coming out of hte filter.... they never do that, they like the calmest water they can find.

So how bad is this?



its a 50 gal tank.... or maybe its 55.. I cant remember anymore.

ya takes rust off and makes it kinda sticky.

not to bad, a can is 8 oz. and 2/3 of that is nothign in a 50G tank

ok thats what I was hoping.

I jsut didnt want it to raise the ph or something, casue them damn hachets while cool really like stable water.

it was jsut the normal coca cola.


my hachets are still swimming into the water stream from my filter, I've never seen them move for so long, hope they arent too stressed, I dont even ahve another tank to put them in right now, my little one is empty right now with a crack in the side waiting to be fixed.

i think it would change the ph to more acidic...just do water changes for the next bit to get it out.

well I've lost 2 of my 5 hachets..... the other three are back to the surface where they normally are.

I'm going to do another 40% change here, cause its kinda cloudy in there.
and hope the other hachets make it.

that what I thought too, I jsut have no luck with my tank.

there are only 2 steps that are higher then the tank, and not blocked by wall instead of railing.....

I've lost too many fish to freak WTF things happening. like when I broke the heater and electrocuted them
