* because there have been a lot of views of this thread but there are only us two chickens here, so, either
{A} I'm boring everyone to death
{B} they are all waiting for us to come to a conclusion !!!
Don't stop! I'm still listening and fascinated by all this technical banter being thrown around - especially seeing as although I've been keeping fish for many years I've never really 'done it properly' until now and so many of these things are difficult for me to follow.
It sounds like you should be able to work something out - especially if someone like George was to contribute his 2 cents worth - but perhaps I should just by a KH test kit in the meantime...
I'm not giving up on you, just want to make sure my fish are okay whilst you come up with a theory that will win a noble prize.
PLus I've just spent hours trying to set up and network a new pc and still aint finished. Brain=mush
Looks good PtarmiganUK. Easy to use and gives the right answer. You might want to add in that KH is measured in degrees in this case just to make it clear. You could also add in a KH converter to ppm or mg/l since some test kits measure in ppm. (FYI KH in ppm = 17.857 x degrees).
You'll have to give me some tips some day on how to write one of these little calculators.
I might try sending you a PM re: programming matters since it's probably a bit outside the scope of this forum.
Besides if people weren’t already bored enough by now we could be sending them into a state of coma if we were to continue a discussion on Web programming.
