So I just cut to the height I want then just replant the trimmings?Just cut the tops off. That will make them bush out and give you cuttings to replant

Thanks, il try the credit card.Yep, that can work. A little algae in a tank is natural and normal. It doesn't necessarily mean you're doing anything wrong. It's just part of the aquatic environment.
As far as scrubbing, an old plastic credit card/gift card/id card makes a much better glass scraper than any "algae scraper" I've ever tried, and it won't damage your glass like a razor blade. Probably the best use of a credit card. ha ha Definitely the best use of a starbucks card.
Mr. Clean magic erasers work really well to, if you can get those in the UK.
Yeah, I wouldn't worry too much about some algae on the hardscape. It makes the tank look more natural, IMO, and the fish do seem to appreciate that. Keeps your water cleaner, too. Thanks, il try the credit card.
The clean up crew was more for the rocks to save me taking all the hard scale out and cleaning them. I might just leave it on there to give my red tail somthing nibble on.
I use a razor scraper on my glass, never scratched or damaged the glass....plus, I like the long handle, don't have to dip my arm into the tankYep, that can work.
