Hello,

This may be just a personal preference, but others might agree. Since the key to many items for sale is whether they can be posted or if not, where they are located, maybe it would be a good idea to add that info into Topic Title or Description?

This would make it a lot easier when browsing through the items for sale. For example, if I see "Glasgow - no postage" then I can quickly see it's of no use.

I know that it is already requested in the sales form, but it would make trawlling through the items less laborious and dissapointing - "wow, a Fluval 405, just what I need! *click*, oh, it's in Nothern Ireland"

Could this be part of the Classifieds terms?

I know what you mean, i'll find something which I'll like or need but that person isn't willing to send the item.

I definitely think the location should be in the sub-heading. Some ppl do add it some don't...

This is a good idea, but most people cant even bother to put the sales form or location in the title...

Yep, i think this is a great idea. :good:

I also think that the mods should be more tougher in deleting threads as i have read no end that have not used the form etc, someone has pointed out that they need to use a form, they haven't done and the thread is still there a week later. :look:

Rather than making a post in the thread about the incorrect use of the sales form, please just click the report button. All us mods see it everytime we view any page of the forum. It will get addressed much more quickly.

We know that we don't get through every section as often as we should. I know that only read a smattering of threads every day. If a thread isn't reported on, a mod doesn't have much incentive to read a thread that otherwise looks like it is fine. So, click the report button and it'll get fixed much faster. We normally give the person about 24 hours to fix it on their own, and then delete it.

ZZ, the idea about having a location in the title is a good one. You'd think that if people were interested in buying and selling, they'd provide this information up front. Seems like simple marketing, to me. We'll kick the idea around a little bit in the mod's forum and see what others think.

thanks, appreciate it

I know it wont be adhered to religiously, but if it does become a rule it will encourage people to do it. The more people see this info in the classifieds section, the more it might 'click' for people to do it themselves when posting.

But the topics that have even been addressed by mods/admin have then been ignored and no follow up done?!

I take on board the report button though.

Thanks.
