I have a established 5 us gallon tank. i have gotten 3 male guppies yesterday. They where doing great and now one of them is now with clamped fins. There are no other fish in the tanks the levels are as follows

ph-7.8
ammonia-0
nitRITE-0
nitrate-40ppms

If you have any advice about what i can do to help the little guy get more comfortable and un-clamped PLEASE let me know..

How long has the tank been running?

Moving new fish is very stress full at any time. what i would do is do a 20% water change and try to get some live foods.
This perks up most fish as the have to hunt for the food that they love. and see how their doing in a couple of day's.

the tank has been up and runnin for a week or so. i just gave them live food 2 hours ago. and did a 50% water change last night

Well if it's only been running a week then your have to do 4-5 water changes a week until it's all settled down.
Very surprised you have 0 ammonia though.

Well I had other fish in there before but moved them to different tank. Did water change a day before I got guppies. Then tested water and some was to high so I did another but ammonia was zero. Will do another water change for the rest of the week to see if I can get him confortable.

He's been clamped for a couple of hours now and I'm starting to getnervous I don't want him to die while I'm sleep. The other two are perfectly fine. I don't know what else I can do

With one week i'd say that tank is not cycled.
Guppys from my eperience have a really hard time on non-cycled tanks.
Strange that your ammonia is 0 tough.
Do regular water changes otherwise, assuming the tank is not cycled your guppys are being poisoned.

The tanks been up and runnin for about 2 yrs. Jus been empty for about a week and have done 2 water changes already this week

How did you acclimatise and is there plenty of décor for them to hide behind? It is stress related most likely.

I know you've said the filter is cycled, but around 50% of the filter baacteria would have died in 7 days without a source of ammonia in the water, so watch those readings. And just to be sure you're not about to get problems in the new tank, you did cycle it/seed the filter or something like that?

Ok so we tested it yesterday and the readings are above. I changed water and use my gravel vac to get the gravel clean. I will do another water change first thing tomorrow morning jus to be on safe side.
As for decor they have some plants and a hut to hide it.

…and how did you acclimatise the guppies?

If you have any ammonia or nitrite, you should be testing often and water changing whenever you see any reading (never letting either rise above 0.25 ppm). Both are capable of harming some species of fish in quantities so small that our test kits won't register them.

When I brought them home I put the bag inside the tank water for about 25mins

That would only be a temperature acclimatisation, not water acclimatisation. The second is a lot more important because changed in pH and water hardness can be very harmful to fish, they may even result in death. This was very likely the reason why the fish was stressed. I recommend you read about drip acclimatisation for the future.

[Can guppies go with goldfish into a 10 gallon tank]
No, guppies can not go with goldfish and goldfish grow to 12-16+ inches long, so a 10 gallon tank is not big enough for them. Fancy goldfish would ideally have at least a 4*1.5*1.5 ft tank and common goldfish at least a 6*2*2 ft tank.
