will ciclids and cory's get on ok????i have 6 rainbows(boesemans, parkinsons, salmon) and 9 srebai.i have the chance of 2 sajica's,1 blue acara and 1 severum all for free.would they all mix ok?????

I dunno about the severum.
Dont these get huge, and eat tankmates?
And for african, if the cory can fit in its mouth, I wouldn't risk it.
That is, if your looking for african cichlids...

Cory Cats are terrible companions for almost all cichlids. They are much too small and docile and if any cichlid takes an interest in them they're as good as dead.

i have the chance of 2 sajica's,1 blue acara and 1 severum all for free.
Have you done research on these cichlids yet? It's a good idea to learn about them before jumping into them. I would say the minimum size tank for those cichlids would be about 75 gallons.

anyone else got any ideas.i want to change my tank totally around.i want some larger fish in my tank.any of my fish can go back to my lfs.please,i need your help.any suggestions welcome.all my fish are in my sig.can be ciclids, angels, bichir, etc etc.can take all my fish back if i want

I have 2 Bolivian Rams in my tank with 2 x Bronze, 2 x Juli, 1 x Panda & 2 x Albino Catfish. They all get on fine. At one point when the rams fell out, one of them used to swim around with one of my albino cat fish.

The best way to do it is to plan some cichlids or larger fish and then figure out what can stay, what has to go, and what you need to add. Cichlids comprise such a vast group of fish they can never, ever, be generalized. Your tank would be nice for something like a pair of Severums, and then you can choose some hardy fish to go with them. This type of cichlid is only mildly aggressive and because they have small mouths they're very limited to what can fit into them. Again I stress learning about them first so you have an idea of how they should be kept - cichlids are different then community fish, and randomly stocking different ones is playing with fire. If you do it right though, you can go with your idea and make it a great tank. Barbs are usually not so good with cichlids, while rainbows typically do well with them.

my parkison, boeseman, salmon rainbows are approx 3"-4" so i'll keep them.the 9 sterbai will stay.maybe a pair of severums, and then anything else???any oddballs,or a pair of other ciclids as well??or maybe 1 more ciclid on its own.thanks for your help so far.

maybe another pair of small ciclids as well(firemouths???) or an oddball of some kind.thanks for your help so far.
