I have 8 fish in my tank at the moment. Can i add all different kinds of cichlids into my tank or is it better to make sure they are at least all paired up?

What kinds of cichlids do you want ?

Rift Vally lakes ? west African rivers ?

What kinds of fish do you already have ?

What size tank and what fish do you have currently and what specific species are you asking about? It deffers from one to the next.

1. Green terror 2.bumble bee 3.electric yellow 4.red forest jewel? 5.Bristle Nose 6.electric blue 7.MELANOCHROMIS AURATUS dont know the name of other one.
Yes i know some aren't compatable.
Tank size is 130litres about 35 gallons.

That GT will kill everything in that tank and thats 100% sure, they can hit upto 16" and are very agressive from 6" onwards, its also a New World Cichlid witch needs differnt water to your africans that you have in there, but belive those fish will not stand a chance with the GT he wont eat them but he will rip them apart pretty soon. Besides that those africans you have there are fine and will get along, i have the same in my 180g.

At the moment they seem ok. They all pick on each other now and then, what can i do to reduce that. Also i have some pics of my tank if anyone wants to see leave me your email and ill send it:)

to reduce fighting for a bit,i recomend changing the setting and decorations in the tank and theyll get confused because they wont have their old territorys

DD

You cant do much with a GT in there, the agression gets bad with those guys, you WILL have to get rid of him.

:D When the fish are young and on the small side this can work , but as they grow things will change . Be ready to make changes

As VIP says the GT will mostly end up the supreme being in your tank . :flex:

send them all back and start over the tanks, to small for auratus and too small for that many mbuna and should not pair mbuna 1m3f, electric yellow are too docile for those mbuna, Green terror too agresive for those mbuna, south american fish should not be mixed with african riftlakers, what the gt doesn't kill the auratus will,

Of course the other thing you can do is buy more/bigger tanks, this is what i did I started fishkeeping up quite well screwed but bought some tanks moved my fish around and now operate relatively stable relatively stable thanks to some internet research and good advice here
